REGISTER EARLY TO WIN A BIKE!!!  Details below...

TRAIL BLAZERS is a bike programme aimed to allow your child to progress at their own pace and become skilled and confident riders.  
Suitable for children 3 to 13 years of age, TRAIL BLAZERS is run every Thursday at Athletic Park/Wither Hills, during school Term 4 2017 and school Term 1 2018.  

MUSTER DAY - Thursday 19th October 2017, 4pm to 5pm at Athletic Park

The following are the three levels the children will be grouped in to:
TRAIL BLAZER - LEVEL 1 - Beginner:          
Balance, Cornering, Brakes, Gears, Correct Helmet Fit.
TRAIL RAIDER - LEVEL 2 - Intermediate:     
Balance at Speed, Cornering at Speed, Introduction to selecting Race Lines
TRAIL KING - LEVEL 3 - Advanced*:             
Riding at Speed, Racing tactics, one hour of solid riding.  
*Compulsory Bike and Helmet Safety check will be completed at Muster Day for all Level 3 Advanced Riders.

Each Rider registered will receive a Bike Race Plate to display on their bike.  This MUST be attached to the bike at each session.  
Included on the race plate:  Childs name, Level 1, 2 or 3 and Emergency contact details.

The cost is $50 per child for two terms or $30 per child for one term.

Registrations received and paid for by 4pm Thursday 19th October 2017 will go in the draw to win a bike, sponsored by Bikefit Marlborough.  
The prize bike will be drawn at the end of the Muster Day (approx 5pm)

1.    Suitable footwear is to be worn (no jandals, sandals or bare feet)
2.    Bikes and helmets must be of a safe standard. *Compulsory Bike and Helmet Safety check will be completed at Muster Day for all Level 3 Advanced Riders.
3.    It is important that the children listen to and obey the Supervisors instruction.
4.    All children must remain with their Supervisor until the end of the session

In registering my child/children for Trail Blazers:
1.    I give permission for my child/children to participate in all activities at TRAIL BLAZERS.  I understand that these activities involve risks that are inherently associated with cycling, playing and exercising.
2.    I authorise the supervisors of TRAIL BLAZERS to obtain emergency medical care for my child/children if necessary.
3.    I give permission for images of my child/children at TRAIL BLAZERS to be used for promotion of TRAIL BLAZERS on Social Media, website or other promotional/informative publications.
4.    I acknowledge that whilst every care is taken by supervisors to ensure the safety of my child/children, they are not responsible for the actions of my child.

Marlborough Mountain Bike Club Membership 2017-18

The Marlborough Mountain Bike Club has plenty planned for the upcoming year and are currently compiling a schedule of activities, including racing, trail building, coaching and lots more!
We would like to remind you that memberships for the 2017-18 Membership Fees are now available. 
To those that have already paid - THANK YOU. All members signing up before September 8th are in to win a trail building tool! Details online HERE.

The Club welcomes ALL Mountain Bikers, whatever your current level of riding and we have something for everyone throughout the season. 
Our current members include International Junior and Senior NZ Representatives, recreational riders, some septuagenarian superstars, a huge pile of keen-as youngsters and everything in-between.

Your Mountain Bike Club fees go towards building and maintaining tracks in the Marlborough Region
Members who register before the September 8th  deadline will receive a named, numbered Marlborough Mountain Bike Club Race Plate that can be used for club events. 
Members will receive discounted entry fees to races and series organised by the club throughout the season.

Eliminator 2017

An ‘Eliminator’ at the Taylor Pass Mountain Bike Park, Blenheim.
This is a seeded, short course, four person sprint with the top place getters continuing to race until they are eliminated. Riders are guaranteed two races.

Dumgree Calrossie Cross Country Classic

A race / ride on hill country at "Dumgree" in the lower Awatere Valley. There is a choice of four courses over 9k, 15k, 30k and 45k involving a number of laps around part or all of the circuit.
