The organisers reserve the right to amalgamate age categories to provide fuller fields in the interest of logistics.

All grades, categories and names will be confirmed and announced on Friday 18th August after entries have closed and final numbers have been confirmed. This will be displayed on the publicity sites and also at the event registration.

To contend for the national title you must be on a bike having conventional drop road bars and tires width 35mm or less.

Timing – using Webscorer + Spreadsheet for manual entry as a backup. We will also have an electronic clock on the start/finish line.
Bell lap clarification
When the leader of the race goes through the start/finish after the predetermined time the official begins ringing the bell to announce the final lap. This is the start of the final lap for the leader and everyone else, including the folks who may have just crossed over the start/finish seconds before the leader, and who, in this case are about to be lapped by the leader. A hooter will also be sounded to let the rest of the field know that the leader has commenced the final lap. Once the leader finishes, everyone else follows behind regardless of getting, or not getting, the bell thereafter that crosses the line also finishes.

Power washer – there will be a power washer on site near the bike transition area.

Event merchandise – we are finalising details for one-off NZCX 2017 champs cycle caps and possibly t-shirts. Details including design and costs to be announced later.
Food/Drinks (please bring some cash)
Auntsfield will be hosting wine tasting and sales throughout the day with 10% of sales going to Cyclocross Marlborough
JUME – coffee, hot chocolate etc
Marlborough Junior Cycling - BBQ food and Spit pork roast sandwiches (with apple sauce)

After party – Grovetown Hotel. Private function from 7:00pm - late. People to purchase own drinks and food. Excellent range of craft beers and food is Kiwi/Japanese fusion + range of platters.

The venue at Auntsfield is a 10 - 15min drive from Blenheim. It takes approx. 20 - 30mins to cycle there via a couple of routes. We will put these up soon.

The 'base' is a historic site and has three open fires (in old house chimneys) and these will be going. It is also the location for beverages and kai. For a bit of an insight check out the photos from Event 2.

More details to come....
Any queries please email Mondo -
ps - the venue is very wet and muddy.
