Most of us came up on BMX, whether we raced or just jumped our bikes over random stuff in the woods with our friends. It gave us a foundation in bikes that was hugely valuable. So, we make BMX hubs, not only for all the riders still on track trying to go fast, but also to honour some of our core bike memories. The 36-hole rear has a 6-bolt rotor mount, and incorporates the legendary King RingDrive™ with internal needle bearing, just like the King BMX hubs of yore. The rear hub is available for 15mm thru-axle or M10 bolt-on. The rear hub comes stock with our 72T RingDrive™ for quickest engagement but is also compatible with our 36T RingDrive™ for lower drag and higher maximum speed. The 36-hole front, with no rotor mount, is made for 20mm axles. We maintain stiffness with one-piece hardened stainless steel axles. These hubs feature optimized flange diameter and flange angles for 20" rims. The bolt-on version of the rear hub comes with steel bolts. Chris King BMX hubs are redesigned, updated, lightweight, and 100% race-focused. Engineered, manufactured and assembled in Portland, Oregon, USA King Lifetime Warranty Canted flanges for stronger wheel builds Patented RingDrive system with 72 simultaneously interfaced points of contact for unmatched hub engagement Legendary made-in-house bearings 36-hole drilling Easily serviceable with a T10 and pick or pen knife Completely rebuildable with our Universal Hub Service Tool Responsibly lightweight Ceramic bearing upgrade available Specifically designed for BMX 100x20mm thru-axle, 15x110mm thru-axle and M10 bolt-on standards OUR BEARINGS At Chris King, we design and make our own bearings in-house. They are the foundation of everything we sell, and producing them ourselves gives us full control over the entire process to manufacture bearings that are purpose-built for use in our components. This allows us to design products that not only perform better but also have greater longevity. Every single Chris King bearing is inspected and assembled by hand. Unlike common radial bearings, we build sealed angular-contact bearings that allow for adjustment as they are used. Rather than wear out, our bearings wear in; like a fine wine or a quality guitar, they get better with age. All of our bearings are user-serviceable without special tools. Simply remove the snap ring and seal, clean, and re-grease the bearing for a lifetime of faithful rolling.
