The Wheeltop EDS GeX RX7700-GS is a wireless electronic groupset developed for 1x gravel drivetrains. This version features carbon-fibre lever blades, an alloy-cage GeX rear derailleur and BR-RA7800 hydraulic disc brake callipers.
GeX can be configured for 3- to 14-speed cassettes through the Wheeltop app. Individual gear positions can be fine-tuned to suit the spacing of the selected cassette, providing flexibility when building a new bike or upgrading an existing drivetrain.
Wireless electronic shifting
The wireless shifters communicate with the rear derailleur without gear cables. Shift settings, cassette configuration, derailleur adjustment and firmware updates are managed through the Wheeltop app. ANT+ connectivity also allows the system to communicate with compatible cycling computers.
Carbon-fibre lever blades
The RX7700-GS version uses carbon-fibre lever blades for a lower-weight finish at the controls. The hydraulic shifters offer 8 mm of reach adjustment and use replaceable CR2032 batteries.
Two derailleur cage options
Short-cage and long-cage rear derailleur options are available as variants. The 75 mm short-cage derailleur supports cassettes up to 46T, while the 93 mm long-cage derailleur supports cassettes up to 52T.
Both versions use an adjustable clutch damper to help control chain movement over rough surfaces. The derailleur has an 800 mAh rechargeable battery, an IP67 water and dust resistance rating and a stated battery capacity of approximately 20,000 shifts per charge.
BR-RA7800 hydraulic brakes
The included BR-RA7800 flat-mount callipers use a CNC-machined unibody construction, twin 21 mm ceramic pistons and mineral-oil hydraulic lines. They are compatible with 140 mm and 160 mm brake rotors.
